1 Samuel 14:35-52 (From Creation) - Saul Nearly Kills Jonathon

After Saul forces the people not to eat, he makes another stupid oath:

• YHWH doesn't respond to Saul's prayers, so Saul tries to find the culprit
• After casting lots, the lot falls on Jonathon
• Saul is about to kill Jonathon, but the people rescue him
• Why didn't the lot fall on Saul if he was the culprit?
• Saul becomes a powerful king in spite of this
• Samuel's prophecy about the king comes true
