The words sacrifice and sacrament have the same root, SACER, which means to make holy. Just as they used the law of sacrifice in the old testament to become holy,  we can use the sacrament each week to become more like the Savior. As we approach the sacramental altar each week with the sacrifice of a broken heart and contrite spirit we can better take His name upon us.
