In Exodus 19, Israel finally arrives at Mount Sinai—and everything changes. Before God gives the Ten Commandments, He reveals why He rescued His people: to bring them near, claim them as His treasured possession, and shape them into a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. This episode walks through the covenant invitation, the call to consecration, and the intentionally awe-filled (and terrifying) Sinai scene—thunder, trumpet blasts, smoke, and strict boundaries. Along the way, we explore how the law comes after deliverance, why holiness requires a mediator, and how Sinai ultimately points forward to Jesus.
