How do I know if I’ve made something an idol?

Do you wonder if you’ve made something an idol in your life? Children, homeschooling, a choice your family has made? It’s easy to do these days, and the problem is that we don’t usually recognize it when we’ve done it.  But let’s get back to our first love and walk away from our idols!
