Who doesn't love stories of underdogs triumphing? The story of Joseph is one of the most incredible stories of redemption in the Bible. It may be the most famous, even having a musical made after it.
Joseph was one of the twelve sons of Jacob. He was the son of Rachel, Jacob's true love, and therefore, Joseph was the favorite son of Jacob. Because of this favoritism, his brothers became jealous and angry with Joseph. Their jealousy ran so deep that it turned into... betrayal.
Though everything seems lost, even in betrayal, temptation, and injustice, God has not abandoned Joseph. His plan is still unfolding.
Because it's such an in-depth story, it will be split into several parts.
We are reading Genesis 37 and 39:1-20.
