May 20- Deut 15:11

In Deut 15 the children of Israel are commanded to take care of the poor among them, a commandment that remains in place for us today. But when we think of the poor are we thinking only of the poor financially? Or are we remembering to help the poor in spirit? The poor in faith? The poor in time? The poor in health? The poor in testimony? The poor in energy? A consecrated life is a life that looks for the poor and steps in to fill the gaps when possible.
