Here, Mormon sets a perfect example of the Savior and our Father in Heaven. Mormon has a up close and personal view of the wickedness of his people, but despite that wickedness, Mormon's heart is filled with love for them. I feel like sometimes when we are less than we want to be, we impose limits on the love that Heavenly Father has for us. The scriptures are filled with witnesses that no matter how far we are from Him He is always near to us, and always loves us with a perfect love.
