Spencer is the former director of development for the Center on Conscience & War. He has recently separated from the Army on reasons of conscience due to his Christian faith. He is a graduate from West Point, has his masters in biblical exposition, and is committed to peace, justice, and inclusion for the disability community. In this podcast conversation, Spencer talks about his journey into the Army and how he became convicted by his Christian faith about his military involvement, which eventually led to him becoming a CO (Conscientious Objector). We then talk more broadly about the Christian faith and militarism.
