The Battle of the Flesh and Spirit

When a person becomes a Christian, a battle begins between the flesh and the spirit. The flesh is that part of our lives that desires sinful things; the spirit is that part of our lives that wants to glorify God. Our flesh always wants to dominate, but the Bible tells us to die to self and live in the spirit. Paul writes about this spiritual battle in Galatians 5, and he gives us three practical ways we can win the war within.
